Need identification of house plant

    Boy, sure looks like it when I google the name! Thank you so much. Someone bought us this plant in memory of one of our dogs and if anything ever happened to it I'd want to replace it. Again, I think you're spot on. Thank you!

    I bought one of these last August, came with a tag that just said Calathea, but I decided on the same ID. I went to pull off some old yellow leaves and discovered that some of the yellow stuff were flowers. I am way excited. I thought the leaves were exciting enough - they are so soft, and fold up at night so you can see the fuzzy purple leaf-backs. I replaced a very old Dracaena that I had to keep cutting back, so was looking for something that would stay the same height. So far, I am very happy with this plant. I don't think it's all that fussy about its growing conditions, but it doesn't want to dry out.
