Need identification for flowering tree

    Hello!

    I am new here and hope someone can help to identify the tree. I have seen this growing in Thailand and on the Andaman Islands (India). Unfortunately I have no picture of the tree itself.

    No it is not a Tulip tree. They have usually lot of blossoms in one branch and the pistil looks different

    I found another 2 pictures. Hope they will be helpful.

    Hm... or Hibiscus tiliaceus... ???

    I have googled with "Hibiscus tiliaceus" and I guess this is the right one.
