hey everyone, ive had this stump since begging of summer. My neighbor ripped it out of his front yard and left it for dead. I rescued it brought it home and it seems to be surviveing, we'll see for sure come next spring. Its is going to be trained as a bonsai. Problem is i have no idea what it is and he didnt either. I do know it flowers and gets small red almost translucent berries, It had small almost neon pink flowers on it. They were 5 petals almost star like in shape, the size of the flowers was maybe the size of a quarter or so. all i have pics of is the stump and folliage. any ideas?
Looks like a Honeysuckle. Lonicera. Maybe Lonicera tatarica. Tatarian honeysuckle. http://images.google.com/images?nds...sult&cd=1&q=lonicera+tatarica&spell=1&start=0 Some amazing close up pics here.... http://images.google.com/imgres?img...earchBox&rlz=1I7SUNA_en-GB&sa=N&start=40&um=1
