I was given this potted plant 2 years ago by a friend who was moving away. He told me it was a red Crape Myrtle. This is the first year it has ever bloomed for me and obviously, it's not a Crape Myrtle. I need to find out the ID as I'm wanting to now plant it and don't know anything about it or it's needs or growing size. I have easily rooted several cuttings from it as well.
These pics were taken about 10 days ago. I noticed that the flowers are now blooming a crimson red-orange solid color, instead of the two-tone color.

Thanks in advance for any help.

One of the experts that frequent this forum, Ron B., replied in this thread without the picture even :) that it was a pomegranate. Don't know if yours is the same but you might google it and see the pictures in above thread to check. I guess mplant beat me to the punch. :) Harry
