    Need ID,plant in danger!

    Hi everyone!

I have this lovely plant that was given to me by a friend, about 3 months ago. Since then, I've tried to place it in different areas of my flat, finally I thought that little corner will do. However, my plant is now dying!! it keep loosing big branches!! I do noticed it was bending too much and was thinking about getting it some sort of stick for support, but now is urgent! I don't know what to do!

    Any suggestions, please!

    Thanks

    Alexandra

Looks like a jade plant, Crassula sp. There are quite a few posts about jade plants on the forums. You can use the forum's search function to find them.

It's a succulent (almost-a-cactus) and needs very infrequent watering, every few wks at best in summer, only once or twice in winter. It also needs lots and lots of sun (but indoors). When you do repot (not yet, maybe next year) make sure there's lots of grit (perlite, aquarium gravel) or coarse sand in the mix so it drains quickly. Peat based soils are not good for this plant.
