Need ID for two berries...

    Both were plants found very low to the ground here in the woods in illinois. There were several of these. I'd like to know what they are (Haven't had much success searching) as well as if they are edible?? Thanks!!

    The first is a spikenard, used to be Smilacina and may still be - don't remember at the moment how it came out through a recent taxonomic shuffle.

    The second is structured generally like a Polygonatum, but I don't know about the blue berries.
