Need hep with Tree ID

    I am posting three photos of a tree I am trying to identify. The unusual seed pod on the last photo may help identify it.

    It's a magnolia, others may be able to identify it to species or cultivar.

    Those leaves on this example that are not curled have the shape of saucer magnolia, by far one of the most common ones and therefore most likely to be encountered. The next step would be to examine the flowers.
