Have large plant that was given to me healthy. Since winter it has several dying leaves. I do not know what the plant is and have looked online without finding enough photos to identify it. It has large, long green leaves that look a bit like corn stalk leaves. It has a thick stem with offshots from it that are also thick and curve out. I do not know how to attach photo so I cannot do that. It sits near a heat duct and only gets filtered light. Please help if possible. I believe the pot is large enough but I am not sure how much water it needs.

    Hi Peke Mom,

I suspect you have a Dracaena - corn plant. Take a look at the pictures here. Click to enlarge them with some general growing info.

You say that you believe the pot is large enough. Take a look at the drainage holes at the bottom to see if there are roots visible. If so, repot in a pot that is 2" larger. Measure from bottom to top for size.
