Identification: Need help with this plant

    Please help me identify this plant and tell me how to take care of it. We inherited this plant from a negligent owner and we think the plant is too tall for the current pot. It can not stand on its own.

    Dracaena. Move up to bigger pot, with stake if needed.

    I think the variety you have is Dracaena deremensis 'Lemon Lime'. You could also cut the top, root it and have more then one plant in the same pot at different heights. Where you make the cuts you should get two sprouts. See the last link.

    A general rule of thumb is the pot should be about 1/3 he height of the plant.
