Need help with plants in new yard #2

    3. ribbon grass, Phalaris arundinacea
    4. Verbena sp.

    I believe #4 is Buddleia.

    I stand corrected. (Buddleia is not a big part of the landscape here!)

    i agree with hosta, lambs ears and buddleia. i've no idea about number 3.

    Your hostas looks like it should be divided.

    The grass might be bulbous oat grass... if you dig it up and find millions of corms/bulblets from which it grows, that will be it. Phalaris spreads by runners, I believe.
