    Hi all,

I recently came into possesion of this yucca plant which is quite sick. As you can see, the lower leaves are brown tipped, and some of them are starting to split down the middle. How should I care for this plant? Should I remove the affected leaves completely, and if I do, will new leaves grow in their place?

Also, I have a beautiful dracaena which I've had since it was only a few inches tall and it now stands at over 3 feet with many stems. I recently did a spot of pruning and cut some of the stems. This morning as a prank, someone poured a mug of hot, milky coffee into it's soil. I'm worried the caffiene may kill the plant which is still recovering from the pruning. Should I wash the roots and repot it before the plant is able to absorb the coffee?

Try to give both plants as much light as possible. At this time of year
they're both probably light starved in the UK. Coffee itself is probably
harmless though the milk may sour and draw insects. Watchful waiting
is usually the best bet. If you get moldy or insect infested soil just
scrape away as much as possible and add an equal amount of bark based
    potting soil.
