I'm new here and I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. Two years ago I purchased this "perennial" in a 1-gallon pot (on the left side of the picture). There was no name on it but I swear it said it was edible. Anyway, it started to grow and grow and grow. I had put it into a border with some forget-me-nots who were soon forgotten. It got to be about five feet tall and then began to "flower." The bees loved it.

In the fall, I cut it back and last year nothing returned so I thought it was a tropical who couldn't take our zone 4. This year I have all kind of new plants which are now about a foot high.

I took a picture back to the nursery where I thought I purchased it and they swear they never had a plant like this. Can anybody help???

    Thanks so much!

Thank you so much Ron!!! It must be self-seeding because there's all kinds of them coming up now. I LOVE this site!
