Need help with ID

I am not sure if this is a tree or a type of bush but here are some pics, I hope somebody will b able to help

Yes, Tamarix. With flowers of this deep pink shade and in large terminal panicles, I suspect T. chinensis.

 

I was just reading that with age the color changes to pinkish purplish?

This web page says there is variation in color and that some cultivars of T. chinensis have been distinguished by name.
