I have a Texas native tree that I can not identify. It is only about 8 ft tall (no idea of age), with pecan like leaves, looks like it will be flowering in the next week or two, a grey color to the bark, with small thorns over the entire tree (thorns are very short, maybe 1/4 inch fat next to tree then coming to a point). I will try to get a decent picture and post.
    Thank you

They call it "tickle tongue" around here. Put a sliver of the bark in your mouth and you will feel the sensation.
