Hello I have a plant here i got from my mother after she passed away ( step father gave them to me )and I'm not sure what it is .. it was alot bigger then but after i brought it inside and it had little light it started to die off fast. Any helpl id'ing the plant so i can try to bring it back would be great..
Looks to be "Tradescantia spathacea" (moses in a boat) Mine gets bright indirect light and the soil gets a good soaking once a week, or, when the soil is close to dry.
Thats it !! Thanks a ton .. One more thing.. Before it started turning on me i noticed it had roots of the side sprouts.growing almost in /on itself would they grow on there own If i transplanted the side sprouts with roots?.. if it takes off again I wold like more Thanks again! Carmel
Side shoots with roots should do just fine on their own, although shoots can easily root in soil without them already visible as well.
