Need help with an identification please!

    Friend of mine sent me this picture of a shrub/small tree and its leaf. For the life of me I cant figure out what it is. Looks like an althea or hibiscus leaf almost but I know its not. Please help!! Thank you.

    Viburnum trilobum is not recognized as a valid name by USDA GRIN taxonomists -- it's been moved to Viburnum opulus var. americanum.
