    Hi Everyone

I took these pics recently in Kensington Gdns, London, and am struggling to ID them. I made the mistake (duh) of not taking wider angled shots of the first 2 but did for the last. Any ideas? Is Number 2 a Gazania?

    All help is appreciated.

    I might know 2 of them :-)

The second image (the one with the pink ray flowers) is probably a Cosmos. I even assume it is Cosmos bipinnatus which is quite common in gardens. The plant with the white ray flowers (last two images) might be feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) or a close relative from the same genus.

Many thanks Robert :) Anyone got any ideas about picture 1? Again, my apologies for not taking a reference pic.

At a glance, the first one looks like a dahlia to me. The petals look too curled for a cosmos. Can you remember whether the leaves were very finely cut, i.e. feathery? If not it's unlikely to be a cosmos.

    Hi Ellsee,

the first picture (124 KB) does not show a Cosmos species. The second picture (142 KB) probably does.
