Hello, We are on the East coast in the center of North Carolina. On our land we
found this tree or bush. No one here I have found can ID it. We're asking for you
guys to help us. I hope the pictures help, it's hard to get a real good photo.
The tree curls in between each leaf. Almost like a vine curling around something.
    But it grows like that.
We look forward to finally finding out what kind it is.
Thanks for looking and all of your help !
    William

Might be common persimmon. The middle photo shows some type of leaf spot disease, which is frequently found on persimmon.

Still think it might be persimmon. The leaf spots I saw in the first set of photos were on a red maple, but the enlarged photos show some spotting on what you are wanting to identify. Compare this description and photo of leaves. Margins and midrib are light in color. Leaves are shiny, alternate, wider above middle, and lighter green below.

Thanks! Add another vote for Diospyros virginiana (Persimmon) - I suspected it on first look, feel more sure now.

Thanks everyone, I went home yesterday and looked at my other Persimmon tree's.
I didn't think it matched , but looking at the picture from the post I can see a little
curl in one of the photo's. The leaves match. Plus we looked good at the young bark.
I think it matchs the photo too. I think my tree just has more curling than most other
ones. Thanks for all your time, you guys are Good!! William
