I think one of these plants is a dracanea but I can't make out which kind. I have no clue about the other one. Any ideas any one? Also, how do I care for the dracanea and the other one. I need to replant them. I have a funny feeling that these two plants have different watering needs. Thanks for your help!

Looks like Dracaena marginata 'Tricolor', Madagascar Dragon Tree and Chamaedorea elegans, Parlour Palm.

Thanks, Junglekeeper. Can those two plants be in the same pot or do they have different needs?

I'm not sure but I suspect they have similar cultural requirements. You may be able to find more information about these plants by using the forum's search function.

The main difference you will find between these two plants is the water requiremnts. The palm will like to be regularly watered and kept on the moist side whereas the Dracena prefers to remain a little more dry. Both prefer well drained soils but I'd recommend seperate pots. You will probably find the Dracena will require more light also
