    Dear All,

We have this plant in our garden, bought it about a month ago and these fruits on it were still small and green. a few days ago they started turning yellow, then gradually red. Today they are all red. I don't know what it is and I am worried that it might be poisonous. Please help.

    Thank you all

I agree with Ron B, almost certainly Carissa macrocarpa. A good check would be to break off a leaf or small stem. It will produce an abundant white juice (latex). The fruits are edible when fully ripe (a deep pinky-red colour and slightly soft). I really like them to eat, but not everyone does. There will be plenty on the web about this plant - including recipes.

    Enjoy
