My kids found some of these growing at our camp South of Thunder Bay Ontario. We live in Minn - USA and have never seen this type. What is it and is it harmful to children or pets?? Where can I learn more about the species to show the kids?? Thank You for your help...

Aminita muscaria or a very close relative. var. guessowii has a yellow surface. Google it, and you will find it has a lot of history.
