Need help identifying this flowering tree/bush

I recently bought a home and have begun pruning and maintaining the trees/bushes in the yard and cannot identify what this is to be sure i am pruning it properly. Thank you in advance for your help.

 

I think we need to see a close-up of the flowers and leaves in order to help...
