About 2 weeks ago this mystery plant started growing next to a hydrangea plant on our front porch area. We have never planted anything there so we thought it might be a pumpkin plant from a seed that fell when we were carving pumpkins last year. After doing some googling on pumpkin images, I don't think so. It seems to be a vine type plant as it is growing somewhat along the ground. The flowers are pretty large, between 6 and 10 inches and seems to be light yellow or white. The leaves are also large, about 12 inches long. Any help identifying it would be appreciated.
Perhaps a member of the Solanaceae...Datura wrightii? If this ID is confirmed, be warned that all parts of this plant are poisonous if ingested, and handling it may cause skin irritation. Can be invasive: re-seeds itself freely. Welcome to the Forum, fellow Buckeye!
Thanks for the identification help. I think you are correct. I have no idea how it would get there but it's coming out today!

Thanks again. It's gone :) The weird thing is that it literally just showed up overnight in an area that we haven't done anything with in a year. We had it mulched this year so I suppose the seed could have been in the mulch?
