Hi, visiting Sun Peaks outside Kamloops for the week and spotted this plant when out hiking yesterday. About 3.5 or 4 feet tall, tall green spike of flowers, thick stem, light green in colour, growing near the mid-mountain lift in full sun, in a gravelly, dry area. I found it extremely beautiful but haven't been able to track down the species.

Veratrum viride. Extremely toxic, be careful.
