The one plant was called Donkey Ears by the person who gave it to me - which is not what it is. Sorry for the poor photography, quick cell phone shot. It does have tiny babies on edges of leaves, and barb like protrusions on edges also.

The cuttings stuck into soil have not been indentified yet by anyone I've asked. The parent plant which I broke a piece from, is kinda of spindly, grows couple of feet tall and falls over. It has little 'feelers' as though it might climb, but was not attaching its self to anything in the bed where I found it. Although it has leaves they were very few and far between. No real thorns. although little hair-like ones along edges. It is shaped a little like crown of thorns. Diameter on the parent plant was not more than about 1 in. It is in sections, which is where I broke it apart to start pieces.

Both plants look like succulents and were growing outdoors in central Texas.
    Hope someone can help.
    Thanks :-)
