Was at Rondeau Provincial Park over the weekend, and came across this flower that I can't seem to find anywhere. I contacted Rondeau but haven't heard back yet. Was hoping someone here might be able to help me ID it.

    Thanks

    Description:
    • Location: Rondeau Provincial Park, in South Western Ontario
    • Marsh Trail: Found it growing on the forest floor next to a dirt trail in some short grass. Lots of Mayapple plants near by
    • The flower is about 3" across
    • It is short almost growing flat to the ground
    • It was the only one we saw, there were no others near by or anywhere else in the park.

Thank you so much for helping me narrow it down! Not often I get stumped like that lol

    I'm leaning towards
    Canadian lousewort - Pedicularis canadensis

Pedicularis canadensis looks more yellowish. But this is still young plant, it possibly may change.
