This is my first post in this excelent furum. I have three trees like these in my front porch, they are like 5 feet tall. They were already there when I bought the house. From what I have seen on the web, they look like Magnolias but I am not sure. Not even know what type of Magnolia they could be. I have not seen a flower in them in the 1.5 years I have been with them Will really appreciate your help identifying them as I want to give the proper care. My main concern is that they are very close to the house (2-3 feet), and from what I have seen, Magnolias are big trees, may be too big to be that close. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Definitely not large and showy... unless you happen to be a fig wasp :) http://www.figweb.org/Interaction/How_do_fig_wasps_pollinate/index.htm
