It's hard to really see the plant clearly. Could you possibly get more light on it?:>)

I'll try to get a clearer/brighter picture soon.

I read several descriptions of the Orchid Cactus and it seem to say the leaves had some thickness to them like a Christmas Cactus. This plant has leaves that are flat.

Thank you so much! I googled "images" for Epiphyllum oxypetalum and found one that looks just like it.

    Thanks again!!

You're quite right - no doubt you were thinking of the same plant. A regular such as yourself would have encountered many similar queries in these forums for this plant. Ron B often refers to it as Gooseneck Cactus. However the common name Orchid Cactus may cause some confusion for those not familiar with the plant as it applies to a number of species in the genus. I thought it would be useful to provide a more precise reference.

I'm certainly not going to argue with you on that, Junglekeeper. I was just happy that I got the ID from such a horrible picture!

    Great work.

aka "Queen of the night" - blossoms at night and each blossom lasts only one night.
