I have been searching for months for the identification of a particular tropical woody plant. It's trunk is very woody and contains latex. It can be cut and roots easily. The leaves are lobate lobed and the venation is palmate. The inflorescence is simple and sympodial, specifically "dichasium". Each very small white flower contains 5 pedals. It is definitely not a papaya although the leaves are very similar, but are shaped much like a maple leaf. I originally got the start from my aunt who got her start from Disney's Animal Kingdom. I have a photo to send if it will help. My email is bunkyfly@hotmail.com. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thanks a million saltcedar! Cnidoscolus aconitifolius is an exact i.d. match! Although I have already spent hours and hours of nightly research trying to i.d. this plant, you have saved me many many more! My wife also says thankyou. I was just about ready to give up and pay $75 to Disney's Animal Kingdom (where the cutting was originally taken) to see if they could help me out. Now that I have the i.d., I have been able to find much more specific info. Seems to be a very cool plant and now I know why we have so many butterflies in our yard.
