Need help Identifying a Plant

    The seed packet that I purchased described this as iceberg lettuce. But it never grew a head.

    It's bolted lettuce, probably because it was grown in hot weather.
    Lettuce is a cool weather plant in most of the country.

    I planted it toward the end of summer. I guess it still was too hot for it. Thank you for your time.
