hello all i am new to this forum. recently i have been converting my plants to hydroculture. i need help identifiying the following plants i have converted so i can further explore their nutritional needs.

please please please help me identify these plants

here goes: this first picture is of a plant i grew from its sapling for two years. i have a feeling its a dracaena. it has a ball like body of sharp needle like leaves that arize from a turnip like root bulb

the second is a common tree except mine is just a two year old baby. This guy grows out branches and twigs with sets of eight leaves.

the third has done two summers and a winter and that is pretty much all i can say about it. there is also a purple one beside it i couldnt get a really clear picture of if anyone wants to take a shot at it

the other two i cant say more than the pictures are about all i have about them...the last was a dead branch i stuck in my hydro tub

pleaseplease help me....i need to know what these plants are to make the right nutrient solution

    thankyou

1st could be Draceana, Cordyline, Agave bracteosa...
    2nd is a Schefflera (sp?)
3rd appears to be a Philodendron of some kind - there are heaps of species and cv.s
4th could be a Draceana, but at that size it's impossible to say,
5th certainly doesn't look like a Draceana, based on the characteristics of the wood, but again, it's impossible to say.

1 probably a yucca rather than draceana
    2 definitely schefflera
3 seems more like a ficus (rubbert tree) than a philo to me
    4 tradescantia (wandering jew)
5 no idea - post another pic once the leaves are futher along

people....honestly, sincerily.....deeply....i thank you for taking the time

the first is sorted out Agave bracteosa(softwood variety)

the second is indeed an umbrella tree

i am also on the rubber train of thought for the third

the fourth is still a haze

and the local gardener is identifying the fifth as Cestrum nocturnum known in hindi as raat ki rani or the "nightqueen"

so this is what i am going to do apart from staying in gratitude to you people....i am going to put up more pictures i click tomorow morning on this thread

I think 3 is an aroid, more than likely a philo

took another look at 3. not a ficus - i agree with aroid. philo? anthurium? dunno. post a pic of the bloom and that'll be the way to get a good id on it (could be a while for a bloom though :) ).
