native plant??

I have this plant in my back yard and was trying to identify it.

Leaves look like comfrey, but branching habit doesn't. Does seem to be on the way to blooming or at least growing taller, at which point it may be easier to tell what it is.

 

Thank you. I think it blooms a purple/white flower on a long stalk. As you suggested I will wait untill it flowers.
