Hello, I am attaching a photo of a plant from Compositae family. It is a small herb. Underside of the fleshy leaves is deep purple. It forms underfround root tubers. Can it be some sp. of Senecio? Thanking in advance.
i've been waiting for replies as well! it's an interesting looking plant!! i did a google search and found a few groups that might be of assistance for you: http://www.google.com/search?q=Compositae&hl=en&newwindow=1&start=0&sa=N if no one here supplies an answer and you do find it elsewhere, could you update this thread? i'm really curious as it just looks so nice (and it's got that purple on the underside and i just love anything purple). you also mentioned it's used as an herb? for medicinal purposes or for flavoring?
