    Hi,

I think this plant is an Aloe Marlothii but am not sure. We have had it for over 10 years and since then it has grown from 2" to its current height of over 4'. It has never produced any type of flower. What kind of Aloe is it?

Last year we noticed the dark spots on the leaves getting worse so we decided to repot it in the current pot you see now. The spots don't seem to be getting worse but they aren't going away either. Is this some sort of fungal rot? Can anything be done? Will it live?

    Thanks for any comments.

The spots are probably cold damage. It won't go away on the old leaves but it will grow out of it when the new leaves come in. The plant won't bloom until it becomes very large.
