    Hello,

I'm new poster to this forum but I've read a lot of amazing advice on it in the past. I was wondering if someone might be able to help ID this plant for me. It's native (I believe) to the pacific northwest coast. It grows in dry grassy areas near the coast. In the summer it gets a small yellow flower that it sends up on a tall shoot. It grows in fairly good size 'carpet like' clumps.

    Thanks for the help!

Edible, though 'astringent cucumber' might best describe the taste.

Thank you so much for your help! I didn't know it was edible (or barely edible...)!
