Name of Shrub?

    I saw these shrubs in Surrey, BC.
    It is about 30" tall and has reddish or orangae flowers in cluster.
    Can someone tell me its name?

    Looks like a laurel, Kalmia.

    Kalmia latifolia
    Mountain laurel is the state flower of Connecticut.

    • Family: Heath (Ericaceae)
    • Habitat: rocky woods
    • Height: 5-15 feet
    • Flower size: 3/4 to 1 inch across
    • Flower color: pale pink
    • Flowering time: May to July
    • Origin: native
    Blooms are white to pink to varing touches of red. They are beautiful when several colors are planted together. barb

    The range for K. latifolia is the Eastern U.S. It was not stated if this plant was wild or planted.
