Can anyone identify this purple wildflower? It grows in my front lawn in the Ottawa Valley. The flower, alone, is about 1.2cm in height. The plant grows about 25cm high.

That looks like Lamium Maculatum or Dead Nettle, but my eyes aren't what they once were. Can anyone else confirm?

I believe that is Prunella vulgaris. It grows in my yard too.

Thank you for your replies. I think it is definitely prunella vulgaris - just did a search on that name and the photo I found on Wikipedia matches what I have in the yard. There certainly seems to be a lot of purple wildflowers in this area. I have another ID to make which I will post shortly.

As Prunella vulgaris is known as heal-all, eaten and used for tea, it would be great if someone familiar with the plant's use would comment. I have wanted to eat it, but have not tried it yet.
