Mystery tree(?) in my garden

    Hi there,

    I'm hoping someone can help me identify this plant growing in my garden, and advise me as to if I should remove it.

    Silver Birch (Betula pendula) seedling. Looks to be in a tight place there, and the species is listed as invasive in BC, so I'd remove it.

    Lots of these on the peat lands south of Vancouver. Pops up all over in yards down here, too. And local wetlands etc.
