Can anyone tell me what this shrub is? It's low-growing, appears to be evergreen, and is blossoming now. I'd like to add one to my garden but don't know what it is.

Kalmia , just kidding, a pic would likely help or more description re flower, stem, and leaf shape, colour, size, scent, location in shade or sun, leaves opposite or alternate, etc. To attach images can check www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=725 .Somebody will likely know. Welcome to forum.

Dwarf escallonia cultivars are in flower now, as are hebes of numerous kinds. There is also a dwarf rhaphiolepis that is not rare. And some evergreen azaleas are still in flower.

Thanks - confirmed as a hebe. Still learning and obviously couldn't get the picture attached to the question.
