Hi: I found this shrub in the Jardin du Roi at Versailles a couple of weeks ago. It's over 6 feet tall with these fabulous purple berries that look like beads. Any ideas?

By far the commonest Callicarpa in European cultivation is C. bodinieri, so likely that one.

Preeminent cultivar 'Profusion', might be that one specifically.

Plant additional clone(s) for cross pollination.
