These flowers were picked from a shrub in our local cemetary - beautiful. Flowers remind me of cherry blossoms but are red with a white eye & the leaves are oak like. Any ideas??

A red-flower cultivar of a Common Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna, a European species of hawthorn)

    (PS: no 'e' in hawthorn!)
