Chinese Tallow (Triadica sebifera), Platycodon, Four O'Clocks (Mirabilis jalapa), Barberry(Berberis). HTH Chris
No. 2, although the flowers look like a classic campanula bell shape, is a Platycodon (Balloon Flower). Note the distinctive balloon shape of the flowers before opening. What's a Four O'Clock please somebody? It's not a common name I'm familiar with. I'd call No.4 a Berberis. Is Barberry the same thing? Sorry, I'm not very good with common names, but I'm learning.
THANKS TO ALL ! The Chinese Tallow is this something you would keep or pull up and do away with? Also the Berberis IS there a time to cut back are shape,, this Pretty plant is wounderful but as you can see in the pic its kinda taking over the space :). Thanks agian for all the help
Ok this is off topic for this forum but maybe Daniel won't mind. If it were my yard in Texas I'd get rid of the Euonymus and move the Berberis over a few feet. Euonymus tends to get Mildew and scale while Berberis is usually trouble free. Tallow is very invasive and really should go. Barberry prunes well any time.
