Mystery Plant

Hi:

This is growing taller by the day -- now at about 50 cm.

What looks like buds at the top always turn into more leaves and stem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Your picture is of Malva moschata , known commonly as Musk Mallow. Very soon it should be in full bloom with pale pink or white blooms. It is native to Europe and Northern Africa
