This picture was sent to me by a friend for ID. It is hardy in zone 5 but is probably not native to the area in Pennsylvania in which it is growing. The owner says that it always has a flower or two and that they are purple. This doesn't show up in the photo. She says it appears to be growing from a piece of "bark".
I run several searches and still can't positively identify it. I'm hoping someone has it in his backyard and can give me the name of it.
    Thanks.

Yep, that was my choice. Are you the Ron from the other forum? I'm shopping this thing out! I'm going with the answer that gets the most votes. I'm still hoping someone is growing it and will either confirm or correct my guess.
