Mystery plant on roof of old Chinese building in China

I went to China in late Oct 2019. At a fanous old garden (Lingering Garden) at Suzhou,
I found some strange looking "things" among the roof top tiles of an old building. At
first I thought they were fungi. Now before my mon, I found they are not. Don't know if
they are succulents !

So, you vindicate my suspicion that they are succulents !
