I received a cutting of this plant from a friend who knew only that she liked it. It is a viney plant, when happy, it makes lovely flowers consisting of 2 horizontal rows of (7 blossoms each row)white lantern-like blossoms with bright red tongues at their bottoms. They last a very long time, and gradually fade and change color, the red to black and the white to pink-orchid. I still have a few dry blossoms from last summer.
It seems to be deciduous, almost, in my house, (not my friend's) though, and recovers in the spring/summer. It is not thriving, though, and I would like to find out what it is so I can best nurture it!

Thank you, the pictures here show it recovering after a hard winter. It does not like chill!!!
