Can anyone help me identify a cranesbill geranium that I saw in some hanging baskets in Richmond, BC? The plant was quite leggy and trailing, with typical geranium flowers. I would describe the foliage as being very lacy. It was not a compact plant. The owner of the nursery that was selling the baskets said it was a trailing cranesbill that she takes cuttings from each year to put in her baskets, but I have not been able to find out exactly which variety it is. Any suggestions?
Hi, without a photo, it is difficult to say. On this page you have photos of various geranium flowers.
I'll have to see if i can get some pictures of it to post, to make identification easier. And yes, Ron, the leaves do look like lacy snowflakes.
Re: Cranesbill Geranium Looks like a Geranium sanguineum 'Max Frei' but with different foliage....possibly a hybrid Ian
