We have a small tree in our yard that has large leaves and berries that look like an enlongated raspberry, about one inch long. My husband says they taste like a raspberry also. We would like to know the name of the tree and if the berry is edible.
We live in the southern USA.

    Fruiting Mulberry? Recent Thread here.

I think there's red, pink and black varieties.

Mulberry. Yes, edible, and very nice when fully ripe.
