Could someone please help me identify this Aloe? I have gone through thousands of photos and descriptions, but can't seem to find anything close enough to be sure. A friend gave this to me as a pup, which has been a few years ago now. It is now about 1 metre (about 3 feet) across with some leaves around 6cm (about 2.5 inches) across. The leaves are smooth, flexible and thick, and of course, absolutely packed with gel. It has never bloomed (probably lack of sufficient light) but it has several pups around the base. Any ideas? With any luck, the photos will help.
A. maculata (formerly saponaria) and it's hybrids look similar. I've read most material in cultivation is of hybrid origin owing to the suckering propensity. http://www.sci.muni.cz/bot_zahr/fotografie/skleniky/kaktusy/Aloe saponaria22.jpg
