I discovered this mysterious red/green plant in my horses’ pasture this morning and I’m curious to find out what it is. I walk the pastures often pulling weeds and looking for hazards and I have never in 6 years of doing so ever seen this plant. They are growing in a single, small patch in full sun, are about 5-6” tall and only one to three stems grow from each root system. Located near the coast on south Vancouver Island.
